Val Maira

Valle Maira is one of the most savage and preserved valley of Piedmont, rich of culture, history and wonderful landscapes.

These photos were taken during a twelve days tour made by foot along the Occitans' Paths which cover both sides of the valley. One of the best landscape of Valle Maira is the one of the upland of Gardetta, where it is possible to admire steep rock mountains like Rocca la Meja or the fortifications of the Alpine Wall build before the World War II.
