Geox Deforestation - Milano

5 June, 2009 - A big smoking shoe is in front of the main Geox store in the centre of Milano and the shop windows are covered by images of burning forests.

Geox used to buy the leather used in its shoes from a Brazilian slaughterhouse that destroy the Amazon Forest in order to gain lands for the ranches.

One month after this action, Geox accepted the requests of Greenpeace and it will do its best to avoid the use of this kind of leathers.
